Get Held Airline Seats in Front of Agents
Every unsold seat on a block is cost waiting to happen. How you distribute that inventory - which channel, which agents, at what fare, until when - decides how much of it sells before the release date.
- Choose which agents see each block
- Price by agent tier without exposing net fare
- Close sales ahead of your airline deadlines
- Live seat counts across every agent
Four ways suppliers distribute seats
Most suppliers use more than one channel. The question is which carries the volume and which creates risk.
| Channel | How it works | Strengths | Limitations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Broadcast lists | Availability sent by WhatsApp or email to agent groups | Quick to start, no setup | Stale within hours, fares forwarded freely, bookings re-keyed by hand |
| Own B2B portal | A supplier-built booking site for its agents | Full control and branding | Build and upkeep cost; reaches only agents you already know |
| GDS private fares | Fares filed privately and accessible to selected agencies | Fits agencies working in a GDS | Depends on airline and GDS arrangements; less suited to ad hoc seat blocks |
| B2B marketplace (e.g. EazyPNR) | Inventory listed to approved agents from many suppliers | Wider agent reach with supplier-set visibility and pricing | Shared platform rather than a fully custom build |
Whether GDS filing is available for a given block depends on the airline and your contract.
Decide who sees what
Distribution is not all-or-nothing. On EazyPNR each series can be shown differently.
All approved agents
Maximum reach for blocks that need volume quickly.
Agent tiers
Group agents by volume or relationship and give each tier its own fare.
Named agents only
Keep sensitive or limited blocks for trusted partners.
Stop selling before the airline stops you
Airline deadlines are the hard edge of every block. If agents can still book after names are due, you end up chasing passenger details for seats the airline may no longer honour. Setting your own sales closing date a little ahead of the name deadline gives your team time to complete the list.
On EazyPNR the closing date is set per departure. When it passes, the departure drops out of agent search automatically while existing bookings stay visible to you and the agent.
- Per-departure cut-off rather than one date for the whole series.
- Automatic closure when seats sell out or the cut-off passes.
- Manual reopen if the airline extends a deadline or adds seats.
Tired of your fares being forwarded around?
List your inventory with visibility and pricing you control.
Keep your net fare private
In a broadcast message the fare you send is the fare that circulates - including to agents you never intended to reach and, occasionally, to competitors. Once a net or low agent fare is out, it is hard to hold a higher price for anyone else.
A distribution platform separates the numbers. You enter a net cost that only your team sees, set agent fares on top, and each agent sees only their own price. Read more on how consolidators distribute airline inventory.
- Net cost stored on the supplier side only
- Agent fare or markup per tier or agency
- No downloadable fare sheets to forward
What is airline inventory distribution?
It is how a business that holds airline seats - through a series, allotment or group block - makes them available to the travel agents and OTAs who sell to passengers.
Can I distribute to my own agents only?
Yes. You can limit any series to named agents or a tier, so only your existing partners see it.
Will agents see my net fare?
No. Agents see only the agent fare set for them. Net cost stays in your supplier account.
Can I use EazyPNR alongside other channels?
Yes, but keep seat counts aligned. If you also sell offline, update the remaining seats so agents never book seats that are already gone.
Who can list inventory?
Consolidators, wholesalers, tour operators and group fare suppliers can apply. Apply to become a supplier.
