Series Fares for Travel Agents in India
Whether or not your agency holds IATA accreditation, series fares let you sell confirmed seats on busy dates. EazyPNR puts series inventory from multiple suppliers into one B2B search.
- One search across multiple suppliers
- Agent fares with rules shown upfront
- Instant confirmation on held seats
- Names, PNRs and statements tracked
Why series fares suit both kinds of agency
IATA-accredited agencies can issue tickets on published fares themselves, but on peak dates the cheaper booking classes often close early. Series seats are already held by a supplier, so they can still be confirmed when GDS availability is tight.
Non-IATA agencies cannot ticket directly and usually buy through consolidators anyway. Series fares let them confirm a seat at a known agent fare, with the supplier handling naming and ticketing with the airline.
- IATA agents add pre-held seats to what you already book through the GDS.
- Non-IATA agents confirm seats without ticketing authority of your own.
- Both quote a fixed price and confirm straight away.

What experienced agents check before selling
Series fares are usually stricter than published fares. Many are non-refundable once named, name changes may not be allowed, and date changes depend on the series. Read the rules before you quote, and pass them on to your customer in writing.
- Confirm passport names and spellings before submitting.
- Note the name deadline and the ticketing time limit for each booking.
- Check baggage allowance against what your customer expects to carry.
- Keep your own margin separate from the agent fare when quoting.
Running out of seats on peak dates?
Register your agency and search series inventory from multiple suppliers.
Do I need IATA accreditation to book series fares?
No. Series seats are held and ticketed by the supplier, so non-IATA agencies can book them. IATA agencies can use them alongside their own ticketing.
How many suppliers will I see?
That depends on which suppliers list inventory and approve your agency. The number varies over time and by route.
Can I book on credit?
Only where the supplier offers credit to your agency. Otherwise payment is made as the supplier specifies.
What if my customer cancels?
Cancellation follows the series fare rules, which are often stricter than published fares. Raise the request on the booking and the supplier will process it under those rules.
